FAMILY EXPERIENCES AND HERTOGENBOSCH

Our Spanish students are so excited! They cannot stop talking about their adventure: families, food and... BICYCLES! Quite a few of them have cycled to school as the 95% of the Dutch students. Some of them have had small accidents, but nothing serious. As you can see in the school bike park, the Spanish students are getting into the Dutch way of life.

We have met at 09:00 at the school and we have left to Hertogenbosch by coach. When we got there, we had to do two groups for our guided tours to the cathedral tower and a city tour around the most important places of this amazing medieval town.
The cathedral is Sint Jan and it is one of the most picturesque buildings of the Netherlands. Our guide took us to the highest part of the tower and we stopped at different points points of interest: the belfry, the clock mechanism and an exhibition showing the history, the construction and restoration of the tower. After a steep climb we reached the highest point and the views from there were stunning!

The cathedral

The climbing up

The mechanism of the bells sounds

And the amazing views

The city tour included the most important views of the town. But the weather today was veeeeeeery cold.

The places that we have visited are: the cathedral of Sint Jan, the city walls, the Bravant museum, the canals, the market square, the town hall and we have also seen the statue, bithplace and residence of
Hieronymus Bosch. It is a place full of history and nice stories.

The city walls surround the old part of the town, and shows part of the importance of water in the whole city.

And the canals.

The Bravant Museum.

And after all this guide, we went back to school where we met our Dutch partners to go home. There are different plans as you can see in the following pictures.

And now, the teachers want to say good night from the cold Holland!
